Privacy
What this site collects, which is close to nothing, and what leaves it when you click a partner link.
This page is short because the site is simple. There are no accounts, no comments, no user-generated content and nothing to log in to.
What the site itself collects
Nothing that identifies you. Pages here are static files. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network, no session cookie set by us, and no third-party script loading in the background to watch what you read.
Standard server logs exist at the hosting layer, as they do for every website — request paths, timestamps, user agents, IP addresses — and they are used for keeping the site up and nothing else.
Fonts and external resources
The two typefaces used here are served from the site itself rather than fetched from a third party at page load. Nothing on a page of this site makes a request to an external host in order to render.
Partner links
Links written as /go/ followed by a name are partner links. Following one sends you to that seller's own site, and the seller may set cookies or record the referral under their own policy, which is theirs and not ours.
Two things worth being explicit about. We do not receive your identity from that — what comes back to us is aggregate, at most a count. And whether you follow one makes no difference to what this site publishes; the affiliate disclosure explains why, and names the sellers we have declined to take money from.
Search engines are asked not to index those links, which is a technical courtesy rather than a privacy measure.
The email list
If you add yourself to the recount, your address is used to send occasional notes about licence terms that have changed, and for nothing else. It is not sold, not shared, and not used to build a profile of you. Reply to any message to be removed, and you will be, without a retention exercise or a survey.
Changes
If this page changes, the recount date at the foot of the site changes with it. Questions to [email protected].
